Well then your clearing not looking at it properly.
Yes the skin looks better, but so do the eyes, they have much more detail, folds in the clothes have improved and shading skills, the way they draw the glasses now are alot better, The ear is more detailed and looks better, they've actually drawn hands in the newer picture and succeded to make them look right, the little pineapple in the hair looks so much cuter and better, the hair looks so much nicer and well coloured, the nose looks nicer and much more natural and they've proportioned everything better than previously. Everything has improved enough to actually notice. So you clearly weren't looking at these two pictures properly, or you just can't tell where improvement has taken place.
